Ok, am I the only one who is tired of being reminded of 9/11 every year? I nearly lost my dad on 9/11 and did lose 3 friends that day in the towers. My dad was at the Pentagon. So, I really don't like being reminded every year of that horrible day. Sorry folks, at some point I would like to not have anxiety and would like to move on instead of people making it into the new 4th of July. Which btw wasn't even when the Declaration of Independence was finalized. But lets not get into that point of history.

Unfortunately they use it as a political tool so I don't think it's going to go away I would offer you my condolences on your PTSD and say that you might want to avoid multimedia around this time every year it's not a fix to the problem but it'll help your peace of mind

It’ll fade…. My father would, on every December 7th, remind we children that it’s “a date that will live in infamy.” Any more … you’re hard pressed to find a news outlet making note of it. Not that either should be forgotten, but with time, they nearly will ~

My sister was a flight attendant for American Airlines, based out of Boston. She was friends with everyone on Flight 11... including the pilots. Jeff was her best friend, and she kept the voicemail he sent the day before complaining that he was sick and wondered if he should call out. That was the last time she ever heard from him.

It's important to THEM that we remember.

I want to Remember. I was a former military Government Contractor with Lockheed Martin in the DC Area that day. My brother in law working for DEA had a brief in the Pentagon that day. Missed the van from his DEA office going to the pentagon so was driving toward the Pentagon. Living in DC at that time I always going to remember that Day... Listening to Howard Stern in the office when the first plane hit and how it was taken as an Idiotic Accident. Then the second plane hit and changed everything... being sent home after watching on the conference room the buildings collapse on real time TV. The sirens heard from my apartment in DC. That day was a Surreal moment in my life. Calling my children in Jacksonville and other family members in Puerto Rico to let them know I was okay. I Don't want to Forget. I am sorry for your loss and your feelings but I don't want to forget. Move on... but we will keep that Memory alive for those that went to work that day and did not came back. I will never be Tired of reliving that day. Maybe 2 weeks before I put my son by himself on a plane back to Florida after spending the summer with me, he was on his early teens. My Ukranian GF stranded for a week in Texas because the flying shutdown, I took her that morning to Dulles Airport in DC. So much I want to remember. The faces, the rumors, the stories, those who saw it coming and were disregarded as paranoia. The crying in passageways and offices at closed doors because the echoes of "I told you" lingered. The Failure. Our Failure. The End of the Innocence" as a nation. I also want to remember those who used the "terrorists act" to start an Unnecessary War. I will remember for those that won't or can't. I Can Take It.

i don't mind being reminded, not that i would have forgotten, but i DO mind all the "share this to remember 9/11" and let's not post anything from the hour the first plane hit to the moment the second building fell to show our respect" crap that exists only to clutter our facebook pages. people shouldn't be share- and like-farming off of that.
