Hello all just out of a curious though how do you unwind after a hard day's graft (work).
With me it's just sitting at my work bench doing a little bit of model making or watching a little bit of television or are you just to tired to do anything .

I so wish I liked booze. Or pot. Or baths. All I got are naps. I wake from them just in time to go to bed for the night.

Ha !! You stole my thunder !!... That's what I do...nap to chill and then wake up to realize it's time to go to bed. Life can get really evil when we grow old.... ??

@IamNobody oh I don't know. Naps are the one thing I look forward to. A good nap is a gift

Martini and a swim

A nice hike is always my go-to relaxation method. Then afterward, some Netflix or a Kindle book.

When I get home, I take a bubble bath and drink a glass of red wine with some music on. About two hours. Very relaxing...

I usually just bitch about everything in existence for a few hours. Internal screaming and a constant bad attitude, and a chip on my shoulder all enhance my disgust. After about 10 hours of this, I can usually fall asleep with some work.

Much as I've done tonight, make sure my fantasy teams are set, bit of grub, see if there's a film on to have in the background and check this place out. All washed down with plenty of coffee 🙂

Depends. Today I'm doing tango. Sometimes, I just stay at home and relax. Sometimes I go for a pint with friends.

There's a telescope sitting by my front door. A cruise of the universe does wonders for me, like meditation.

I stop at the park on the way home once I've collected my thoughts together depending on what needs to be done I tend to it.

Too overcast to have warmed the pool , so no swimming tonight . Probably just scooter out to the mailbox , take care of all the junk mail . Have a load of laundry soaking in the machine so will start that later ,Meat and veggies waiting in the fridge for me to do something with them .

I fast all day so first order of business is getting food and fresher/comfier clothes, shoes off, smoke some herb. Little TV with dinner then back to listening to podcasts while I practice music, do yoga, work out with martial arts weapons and/or clean a bit if I have any energy left. Mostly just the former items while Im waitin on that second wind though. If I really need to wind down music and yoga are as intense as Ill get.

Maybe a beer, some good food, good book or TV really. What an exciting life I lead.

Sometimes a movie, Sometimes I'll play some World of Warcraft.
But either way I'm having a couple glasses of wine with it.

Around 6pm my wife and I "open the bar" and I have a glass of wine. Then we have dinner after which we watch Jeopardy. Then watch some tube or on the computer, smoke a little herb and look for a documentary on Netflix before crashing.

Anything with a drink in my hand is fine...last night it was vacuum up the dog hair off the hardwood and have more drinks with a friend that visited.

I do a bit of collecting. There is the search, the finding, the collection.... it is very satisfying and good at taking the mind of the mundane.

I get on my inversion table, and listen to a little music (today, it was Tangerine Dream). After that, some oolong tea.

2

Weed.

Maybe reading, or listening to music, or watching something on TV. But whatever it is, I try to be stoned when doing it...

I'm usually here, the people on this website lift me up and the conversations are wonderful. That being said, I have many other hobbies, I have three quilts in progress (yes, I'm crazy) crochet and knitting projects, home decorating projects, two cats, and a stack of books to read. All of those help me unwind if I choose not to be here.
