Susan collins has just said that if brett kavanaugh has lied (she did not specify whether she meant about the attempted rape accusation or about the stolen documents he not only received but forwarded, and then lied about during a previous confirmation hearing) that would be DISQUALIFYING.

I'm not aware of the stolen documents issue.
My biggest concern is Kavanaugh's position that the President has discretion in what laws the president enforces. From my reading of the constitution, there is no discretion. It's one thing if the sitting president takes the position that he doesn't have to enforce a law he doesn't agree with. It's quite another if a Justice of the Supreme Court holds that opinion, especially if there's a chance he can sway a majority of the Court to agree. Especially when there's a president in office who has demonstrated dictatorial leanings.

it's all worrisome.

the documents thing, lemme see if i can find an article. if it's the nyt or wapo i may be out of free reads, which sucks because they're such good sources. but i'll try. if all i can find it huffpo or something, which gets its info from the other sources, you may try the two i initially named, if you're not also out of free reads, or if you subscribe.

here:

try wapo for the full story. this should give you a sliver of info though.
