Patience, compassion, and letting go of things and people which keep us down are catalysts for a life of one's dreams.

I've found that every day can be a learning day. Our lessons are always around us; we just need to be ready to receive them with open minds and hearts. Enjoy

some things endanger your life and even kill you, and those things don't teach you anything. some abandonments teach you to stand on your own feet. others traumatize you. oh, one should be mature and learn to stand on one's own feet, right? tell that to the next six-year-old who is abandoned. absolutely nothing that angers you teaches compassion. that's total crap. some things you can't control teach you to let go. others teach you to feel helpless. some annoying things teach you patience. others do not. this meme annoys me and quite frankly it is not teaching me patience. it is reminding me how simplistic and simple are not the same thing, and calling mindless advice mindfulness is a really good way to silence people who should be trying to fight some annoyances instead of being patient about them.

Not easy to put into practice. But a good reminder when I'm challenged by something.

Adversity is a great teacher. Getting its lessons right creates the warm of a much deserved reward.

Very true. People and societies seem to generally need adversity and some stress to change for the better.

Well thats pretty spooky.
The timing on this couldn't have been more perfect. I am in the midst of a major life change which dictates that I downsize for an overseas move. While trying to finalize the paperwork and throw out some of my possessions, it seems that everything that should have been easy, turned out to be not, and I have become frustrated and angry. Then I saw this little post.
Thank you for reminding me. 😀
It's all good.

My pleasure, @patchoullijulie. Synchronicity is magical. I went through something like what you've described starting about 10 years ago when i decided to move to a small town from the city, and to downsize. Managed well until i got to my books and files. Never did get past those, so i compromised by throwing out over 2000 cassette tapes. That was painful enough. The books and files came with me as you can see in my spare bedroom, now library//storage room. Discourages overnight guests though. LLOL

@josephr Oh my....that must have been overwhelming. It makes my little pile of books seem insignificant. 😀

@patchoullijulie Was and is overwhelming, every time i go into the room to look for a book or an old file. LLOL I just wish i could put them all on digital.

@josephr I have both but I still love to be able to touch the book......part of the experience

@patchoullijulie, very true.
