I'm open to dating and friendship, but it has yet to happen.

I've made one friend so far. I expect I can make a few more over time. It's not hard, she just sent a message with a brief comment, I wrote back and we've been chatting ever since. Just reach out to people and see how they respond...and don't be creepy or weird.

As with any website where there's the possibility of creating a "Spark",tread cautiously, If someone contacts you be careful,I've texted/e-mailed 4 different Women through this site, but no face to face meeting due to the distance,in the last instance ,back tracing the phone numbers set off my personal alarm bells, as the phone call had her speaking in a South African accent while supposedly in Idaho. No money was transferred or gifts given,just be on your guard,not to say there are some nice Women here, go into anything with your eyes open.....

Even though I put down open to meeting women I think the chances of finding somebody at my age that would actually fit in with my life is probably pretty rare so I just enjoy talking with other people and if it happens it happens if not I'll be okay but on the upside here recently I've seen a couple of different people say that they found someone on this site and that it seems to be working out so you know Hope Springs Eternal

I'm new and haven't had that much time to explore. I would be thrilled to meet more like minded people. I have had trouble meeting someone with similar beliefs in the 'real world'.

I have met 2 people from this site. One was local and we became friends and would hang out from time to time and the other lived 1,555 miles away. We had a long distance relationship, hit it off romantically, met and had chemisty and now we are moving in together next week. It is possible.

Huh. But I am new as well, and I haven't really put in the effort to find someone here. This looked like more of a community than a dating site. I am still trying to learn the parameters of online dating. I feel clumsy at it.

Only once so far. She's a nice lady who is local. Our visit was meeting for a quick lunch. She's well equipped in intellect department which I love. Our interests and outlooks have a bit of overlap but not a great deal.

I've a lot of women friends who are pleasant and who I can call for a date/event etc. Not many with shared interests at the passion level though.

Hope for this site is finding deeper friendship compatibility that might or might not go further.

Many of the women here are 'lookers' too. I'm admittedly a strange man. It takes more than a woman looking good and being willing. Sex seems to always become 'entangling' and I'd rather pass than get entangled with somebody who doesn't share other passions, mutual admiration, respect and selfless trust.

I chatted with a lot of nice people, and on June 1 met the love of my life on this site. I had said "okay, I'm fine being alone, making friends, and being a crazy cat lady." Then.... there he was. Almost literally - the moment I stopped looking and caring - the magic happened.

Seeing the number of ladies complaining about sex weirdos on this site is really disappointing to me. I have always thought of the atheist community as consisting of reasonably intellectual individuals who try to distance themselves from the stereotypical bullshit behavior they witness on a regular basis in society. I'm not saying that atheists can't be perverts, but I expected much more from my community. I'd love to think that most of the perverts are new members who have registered for the sole purpose of hitting on women and might not even be atheists in the first place, but that's not for me to say.

I recently had a meet-up with a few local folks that are on the site. It was a fun time and just great to meet new people with shared interests.

I met the most wonderful, kind, smart, and beautiful woman with whom i am enjoying a renewed spirit. Started with coffee and cocoa.

Have not met anyone in person yet but there are plans in the works. Just friendly platonic meetings, however. Not looking for romance or relationship anyhow.

Although I have encountered several superior minds on this site, there are far too many miles so I have no expectation of establishing a substantial relationship.

I find when I enjoy meeting people and not focused on whether I meet someone or not, it just happens. Whether here or where ever. I enjoy this community and since have less time currently due to other priorities, find I miss it.
