Here we go again. I dated someone who made me believe (that damn word) that he was inviting me to an event with him. I mean he asked me if I like the performer, showed me his swag bag full of gear, told me he was buying tickets so I waited for him to text me with the details, etc. but he claims he is always working, never gets a day off, etc. but still wants to see me, blah, blah, blah. Ok. He posted pictures on facebook of him at the event with another woman. He's still texting me, too busy at work to see me but wants to date. Really?
Why or why do I always get these types of men? Do I have an aura about me that says I don't want to be seen with you in public or something?
I know, nobody wants to be involved with a woman with cancer but this has been my life. Way before the cancer!
I'm not a casual date! Stop texting me. I am a one man woman looking for a one woman man, just like the song says. I do not take second place.

Maybe discuss your prior conversation with him and your assumption of the plans. Maybe he can explain where the misunderstanding was. If not...Delete, Move on and block if needs be.

I had the conversation and came to the conclusion he's not worth my time and just another asshole. I'm dating myself again. Happy with my new bestie: ME! I guess I need to learn just to stay that way. I'm tired of being disappointed. It still hurts though. This is the second time this year I've been crapped on. I recently started chatting with someone from far away I met on this site but I'm afraid he's really not real which I have found most long distance relationships turn out to be. My hopes are not up for this one but what the heck, I'll play.

@confidentrealm Never say never. Just be happy with yourself and keep half an eye open to the possibility. You never know when you'll find your connection. Usually happens when you're not looking anyway. I met someone awesome on here who lives 1,555 miles away but we fell in love. We did long distance for a while and lots of traveling back and forth and now I'm moving in with him next week. It is possible. Best of luck to you.

@Hazydays Congratulations! That's fantastic. There is hope.

??? The instant anyone on this website is crude, rude or lewd, or treats me with disrespect, I block them, and/or flag them to the admin. if appropriate.

As for misbehaving men not on this website, I block/delete them from my social media and phone, and never contact them again.

Never Assume what another person is thinking, even if it seems obvious to you....

Excuse the expression but AMEN... LOL

He's somebody else's problem now.

Did you meet him on the internet? I am constantly astounded by the stories I hear from women I talk to. We're not all assholes.

I met him here.

I'm sorry to hear about that. That is so very rude. I don't know how people can do that to someone. A person's emotions are not something to play with. It hurts too damn much to do that. Forget him, you deserve someone a whole lot better than him. I sincerely hope you find him soon.

Thanks. Me too

@confidentrealm You're welcome.

I think that it's becoming a trend and it has a term too: cushioning or benching. Meaning that people are afraid of getting hurt so they keep people around them as option 1 or 2...

As I said, a backup plan.

I hate it. Why can't I be number one? He had the audacity to ask me out tonight to see Fahrenheit 11/9. After all this shit went down. No no. No. I'm nobody's second choice. I guess I will just remain single. I'm my own number one.

I feel your pain. I had a very similar thing happen to me when I was in my 20s. Still kind of stings

2

block his number and on facebook!

3

i hope you have ghosted him pricks like that deserve to be dropped faster than a red hot poker with no explanation given .take care and good luck

I will. Thanks

You know what? I don't understand people who do this kind of thing. It's like... saving you for the backup plan in case the first choice doesn't work out. What a load of crap.

Dump this one - and make a decision to no longer tolerate such bullshit - from anyone.

You are way better off without him, he is a complete and utter asshole. It's not your fault, it's his.
