Just got home after a month at work and a brush with death. EVerything looks pretty good
so the brush with death was gallstone pancreatitis without pain. I had a gallbladder attack but was able to sleep the rest of the night so went to work. I don't have sick days and finding a sub for my job is not a quick thing. I worked all day and thought I just felt off from being sick the night before. THe next morning I woke at 4 AM and just felt not right. Whatever was going to happen there was no recovery time so I drove myself to the ER. I work out of town. All my labs related to my liver and pancrease were so high they couldnt measure them. I should have been writhing in pain but wasnt. If I were at home it wouldnt have been worth a trip to Santa Fe to be checked out.Who knows what would have happened then.THe waited a day to operate so things could settle down.THe surgery and recovery were no worse than a vigorous work out at the gym but I had to rest a bit more for a few days. All is well now
wow, you sound like one tough cookie. i'm glad your instincts led you to the er in time.
Well--THAT's good news! Take it easy for awhile, ok?
@LucyLoohoo I did and now I am back at it
I imagine it does look pretty good. Want to elaborate on that "brush with death" thing?
Glad you're home safe and sound, and alive. Please tell more when you're settled.
Welcome back and I'm happy you stayed safe!
