This bothers me tremendously. I am not against hunting in general. In my area it is often necessary to cull the local deer and hog populations and venison is good. I am all for sustenance hunting and even trophy hunting with the intent of population control (like deer in my area) but killing a wild animal just so you can say you did is perverse. The example of the sicko in the pictures, to me, illustrates psychopathy. His sheer delight in the demise of these majestic creatures is truly frightening. Apparently it costs $20,000-$40,000 to hunt an elephant and for $15,000-$20,000 you can buy an antique taxidermy elephant so this guy is literally spending close to the median annual income of the nation for the privilege of murdering endangered species when he could save some money and still have an epic elephant trophy without contributing to extinction. It really makes me sick.
