Down to 245 lbs, so it seems like the Soylent x2 + real meal for dinner is actually working, in re: cutting calories (for anyone keeping record - i.e. only me - that's 5 pounds in one week, appx.). I've also been able to get out and about more lately, even though exercise actually does very little for losing weight (according to the latest research, anyway). I need the lowered heart-rate average and blood pressure from the exercise, and once I have that, I'm hoping to create a cycle of healthiness.

I'm finding that excerise does make a difference. It burns calories, so it surely does. The cycle of illness and inactivity that I was caught in a year ago was crippling. Now I'm doing two mile walks without breaking a sweat. This seems almost miraculous to me. Do keep moving, it makes you stronger!

It helps with health, but according to research presented at the most recent obesity conference (my apologies, having trouble finding a link because I'm on the way to NYC at the moment), it helps almost not at all for weight loss due to how the body ends up working against itself, and in fact your body peaks at the amount exercise helps for weight loss in under three months. That said, it's extremely good and necessary for heart health (and health generally), so it would be foolish not to do it.

@PolyWolf Research is good and all, but from personal experience I've found exercise does help with weight loss. Keep up whatever you're doing. It sounds like it is working for you.
