Who knew?

Cellphones can't be washed with the sheets.

They also shouldn't be dropped in the toilet or dishwater. Probably avoid throwing them at people, too.

I once dropped mine in the toilet. It's true but the funny part was when my friend told me that's called 'Pay as you go!'

My daughter slept with her phone as a teenager. When she was 15, Claire rolled over and knocked her phone into a full glass of water on the floor beside the bed.

I tried to look sympathetic while placing Claire's soaked phone in a bag of rice. Knew it was useless. Inside I was gleeful. Bad Mom.

I never saw Claire move so fast in her life! Within two hours, Claire had borrowed an old cell phone from a friend.

A friend accidentally dropped his phone in the toilet, fished it out right away and (with his vacuum pump) managed to get it running for a while. . .

Did you actually do this?

Yes, this morning. I felt dumber than a box of rocks explaining what happened to the man at the store.

@PhoebeCat My sister dropped her's in the tub. It's not dumb - it's how much we rely on those things! I'm waiting to wash my Kindle. It usually "sleeps" on the other pillow.
