Tribeca Luxury Apartments in Central West End of St. Louis, Mo. has 160 units and they rent from approx. $1000 to $3000 per month. This is one of the reasons I find it distrurbing that Hilary Mueller tried to prevent entry of a black resident on grounds he "did not have a key fob." Ms. Mueller worked in management but the reported incident happened at her residence. What she tries to do here does not fit her job description and she follows the man, Mr. Toles, to his door and sees him open it with his set of keys. It was after this that she called the police.

What gives here? Are the police going to come and arrest a man who does not have a key fob? Why did Ms. Mueller think she was doing what was required of her when her position at the apartments was not security? If there was a problem then why not call security? I'm still wondering if Ms. Mueller, who is separated from but still married to a black man, might be taking out some of her personal frustrations on Mr. Toles. Apparently HR at the apartments can see the issue because Ms. Mueller has lost her job. Was it worth it?

I look at the whole incident as similar to someone making a big fuss and calling police when an unknown man shows up with a key and drives away in a car in your neighborhood.

OK let me change my ending here. A black man shows up on your street with keys to a car and he gets inside it and drives away. Would you call the police?
