People Who Constantly Point Out Grammar Mistakes Are Jerks, Scientists Find

All right, okay, it’s time to come clean – and be honest! Does it grind your gears when people make even the tiniest grammatical error? Does your restless leg syndrome kick in or your eye start twitching… to the point where you feel a deep, intense need to correct them all? From the differences between “your” and “you’re” to “there,” “their,” and “they’re” and “where” and “wear” – don’t even get started on misspelling “the” with “teh.”

Generally I ignore spelling and grammar mistakes since I also make mistakes when in a hurry or being lazy unless the person making the mistake is being a dick in some way such as demeaning another person's intelligence or being condescending.

I have noticed that some individuals on this site point out grammar mistakes and incorrect spelling when they do not agree with a post or comment.

My thoughts are faster than my fingers. I usually catch my mistakes later.. sometimes not. Oh well!
As for other people, as long as I understand the thought they are trying to convey, its not in my nature unless the person is being an ass to start with. People come from different countries with different educational backgrounds.

As long as I understand what he tries to say , I don't care at all . I will never correct anyone in any language bcz what's the point hurting his / her feelings . But I don't mind at all when people correct me . English is hard , and I am thankful for everyone in my life the last 23 yrs who took the time to show me how and what . ♥️♥️♥️

Yup. Some of them are.

I don't really care. I fuck up all the time on here if I am in a hurry or tired late at night.

Its not my business to correct others.

Grammar mistakes bother me, but not enough to point them out to people, unless it is part of my job. I occasionally make grammar mistakes -- usually when I edit something and neglect to read it one last time. I have found that on this website, sometimes words are missing from posts that I've made, so I'm especially careful to forgive what others have written.
