Who is the simpleton that created the scale regarding how certainty that there is no god. I reject the assertion that there is a god. It ends there.

"Who is the simpleton that created the scale regarding how certainty that there is no god."

Oh some nobody called... er... what was his name? Oh yeah world renown biologist & international best selling author Professor Richard Dawkins who ever he is.

"I reject the assertion that there is a god. It ends there."

So you are a 1 on his 1 > 7 scale. That's why he created it - to see if you were open to the possibility that maybe just maybe you're wrong but I guess you can't be yeah?

Hello. I may have been a little aggressive for my first post. I also should have been more clear. What i meant to say is that i believe the default position regarding any proposition is to not believe it until you are compelled by the evidence. I don't see sufficient evidence to believe in a god so therefore i reject the assertion that there is a god. I cannot reject this proposition more or less than just saying i agree or do not agree with it. Thanks and i am sorry if anything seemed impolite. I only intended good will.

"Hello."

Well hello DJson.

"I may have been a little aggressive for my first post."

Just a little.

"I also should have been more clear."

Well you said it not me.

"What I meant to say is that I believe the default position regarding any proposition is to not believe it until you are compelled by the evidence."

I know that, you know that but the God Squad don't tend to do they?

"I don't see sufficient evidence to believe in a god so therefore I reject the assertion that there is a god."

Neither do most people on this website seeing as it's made for people who cannot say they believe such claims.

"I cannot reject this proposition more or less than just saying I agree or do not agree with it."

I can. I say there are no good reasons at all to believe such claims so I'm a "6.9"

"Thanks and I am sorry if anything seemed impolite. I only intended good will."

Not only Christians can forgive so you are forgiven.

Apparently others have doubts, and are unsure something that is a very human response.

Hello sir. I think my first post was a little aggressive. Forgive me. Defining terms is always a good place to start. To me atheism is rejection of the proposition that there is a God. I do not assert that there is no god but rather that there is insufficient evidence for a belief in a god, depending on your definition of god.
