Here we have huge, angry mobs of Pakistanis calling for the death of a woman who has been found not guilty by the country's Supreme Court.

This is what can happen when you put your emotions and your religion ahead of your reason and your humanity. Horrible.

We could have that kind of shit right here in a heartbeat. What is the difference between the USA and Pakistan then? Average educational level. And I'm talkin about liberal, secular education, not that Sunday school bullshit. If Betsy De Voss and the evangelicals have their way, they will drop all science that conflicts with their religious beliefs from the curriculum. We let our schools and our standards slip at our peril.

It's true both the left and the right have got their issues. But I think the "conservatives" are more prone to promote conspiracy theories and outright lies. Maybe they do it in response to perceived excess in "liberal" values.

One of the more egregious errors of the left has been this call to do away with the ICE. If there ever was a dog whistle, that is one example. It's so ludicrous that I wonder if it is actually trolls posing as Democrats just looking to stir up trouble.

Yet Islam and its followers often claim that it is the religion of peace.

That said, few religions are religions of peace, they are mostly divisive and only peaceful to the chosen few - and only then as long as you do not stray from their teachings...

It sounds as though you should be very careful. It sounds like these pro-Islamist groups are ready to take blasphemy punishment by death into their own hands.
