Where is the most iconic song of the eighties.....Take On Me....still being sung today by a-ha. They are still together and doing live gigs unlike any of the others on your list....most are either dead or long forgotten. Any list of the eighties must have them on it, either it or The Sun Always Shines On TV. As for the parody of Take on Me left by someone below....Iโ€™m speechless! Here is the real thing from Top Of The Pops on BBC TV Take on Me in 1985 and The Sun Always Shines On TV in 1986.

a huge oversight on my end indeed... a-Ha's Take On Me ๐Ÿ™‚ that's another must-have to my playlist!

I stopped listening to music in the 80s. I was well into jazz and bluegrass by then...so can't help you.

I am an 80โ€™s tragic and there isnโ€™t enough room here for me to list my favourites. Will be here listening to all of these posts forever. Might need someone to bring me food and water.
