Really glad for this community. I'm so sick of discussions that have no meaning, just platitudes and parroting without any genuine thought. Let's get the ball rolling. What is something you find interesting?

Art and creativity.

Who is your favorite artist? What is your favorite kind (photography, music, sculpture, etc.) and style of art? What kinds of ideas strike you as creative in other ways?

I like to create my own art, it gives me comfort and inspiration. It's something I've always loved since I was a kid... As far as other artists go, my favorites are the Impressionists -- Van Gogh, Manet, Pissaro, etc. -- not only is their work evocative and vibrant, but they were considered ground-breaking during their time because they saw the world in a different way... My favorite artists, in general -- and anyone who does anything creative -- make me think and feel about something in a different way. It's about getting in touch with something inside while stretching beyond what's safe and familiar.

I have a very lay understanding of psychology, paleontology, forensics and literature. Hoping to increase each of them in turn.

History and other cultures

Absolutely love both. I also geocache but it's not so interesting in my area. I did rent a jeep and cached in Cozumel and Grand Cayman although my daughter drove while I navigated so I got to experience history, culture and geocaching

La isla de cozumel. Vaya.
