I checked in Wikipedia, which does not mention matriarchy. It is rated C-class, which is described as follows:

"The article is substantial, but is still missing important content or contains much irrelevant material. The article should have some references to reliable sources, but may still have significant problems or require substantial cleanup."

thanks for the research.. I guess since I am intimately familiar with the material it's easier for be to fill in the gaps..
You can do further research on it. and i'll look around for more comprehensive videos.. meanwhile.. if you have a question, you can ask me 🙂 thanks

We get only a hint of the Great Law of Peace. It’s hard to form much of an opinion. Seems to call for matriarchy, but I’m not sure.

This tells of our history ( the Iroquois people) and we are a matriarchy. I believe today that the word matriarchy strikes fear in people. lol It doesn't mean that woman boss men around. The way my people practiced it was that woman and men had equal say and each had their roles to fulfill. It is still active today, The clans are passed down through the Mother and the names. science has also shown that Mitochondria is traced through the Mother.. and yes this is only a hint.. you can do more research on the great law.. We believe it is the reason that we survived and that it's now time to share this wiith the world 🙂 Thanks for reading this.

@AmmaRE007 I’ve known a number of Athabaskan people. It did seem that women of their tribes are treated with a good bit of respect.

One idea that I have concerning last names—girls should receive their mother’s surname and boys should be given their father’s. Women then would keep their same names for life

I’ll do more study on the Great Law of Peace. Do you really think such a system might bring peace? Maybe it would bring peace between liberals and conservatives, who seem about ready to start killing each other. Maybe atheists and religious people would start being more polite to each other.

ACTUALLY the Great Law imitates nature.. which has equal roles for male and females

@WilliamFleming we can only try. 🙂 there are very practical things to do to maintain peace
