Not at all. Nihilism defined:

noun

  1. total rejection of established laws and institutions.
  2. anarchy, terrorism, or other revolutionary activity.
  3. total and absolute destructiveness, especially toward the world at large and including oneself:
  4. the power-mad nihilism that marked Hitler's last years.

"Nihilism" in Medicine

  1. The belief that destruction of existing political or social institutions is necessary for future improvement.

  2. A delusion, experienced in some mental disorders, that the world or one's mind, body, or self does not exist.

maybe the wikipedia entry for nihilism would be more appropriate

Not even a little.

not me. i think that's what religionists think atheists are, but it isn't necessarily true. if there is no god to tell us what's right and what's wrong, then we have to figure it out for ourselves, and unless we figure that there is nothing right or wrong, then we would be the opposite of nihilists.

In a way. I’ve adopted something like Optimistic Nihilism, enjoying live despite the void.

@MichealRay I was going to concur but now that you mention it yeah, Im definitely both an absurdist and existentialist lol. My unyielding sense of nihilist melancholy brings all the existentialists to the yard.

@MichealRay Yeah. So many ways to say the same thing. English is funny like that.
