Btw, and I left this out of my earlier response, I am not remotely "dedicated" to agnosticism. I am an atheist.
Further, hedonism has nothing to do with atheism, agnosticism, or theism.
There are very few "horn dogs" here, and they are fairly fucking harmless and good people.

Some of us have thicker skin than others. I could give a flying rat's ass what anyone says about me, but I take exception to broad negative generalizations about the members of this site. The people here are generally wonderful. They are caring, funny, and highly intelligent.
The few who are the exceptions don't tend to hang around very long at all.
Trolls don't last long here.

I expect that is what is going to happen with you.

I love Agnostic.com because of the many highly intelligent, funny, caring and insightful members. As a published author, it is fun to participate in the discussions: writing, reading and commenting. I learn about the experiences and thinking of other atheists.

I think this is a rather unkind generalisation of the community here. For the most part, there are some thoughtful interesting people and I certainly haven't encountered of what you suggest. Why do you lump 'atheists' with 'hedonists'? I am certainly not that. As for this seeming like 'any other dating site'...nothing could be further from the truth.

I joined for dating and stay for community. Coming from NYC where there were loads of like minded people ( and all my friends) I found meeting people in SW Florida with similar mindsets in the traditional ways (bars or whatever) challenging. I have not encountered the horn dogs you are describing on this site at all - those typer are in the bars. Some of us are hedonistic, there are groups for that. Groups for politics too. I've observed a lot of respect for each other here. Sure, a little snark here and there but mostly not. I'm not sure how you got the impression we are church like - but you are entitled to your opinion. I don't quite understand your question "Just how dedicated are you to agnosticism"? Agnostic.com is truly great site/group to be in, I'm an Atheist through and through, I enjoy the conversations, discussions, etc, etc, and SHOULD I meet a woman with whom I can get a relationship going, well and good.
Plus, here we do NOT have to ' cross the Priests palm with Silver,' we can freely say what we think unlike Xtians.
So, my humble and sincere suggestion to you is this; IF you can't stand/like the heat then stay well out of the kitchen.

There is a mixture of both decent freethinking and intolerant individuals on this site.

I believe having a sense of humor is great, but if you can laugh at everybody but yourself, that's not a sense of humor... That's arrogance or hatred...

In my humble opinion.

Because one puts a label of this or that upon them , it doesn’t mean they are what they profess to be. What a designation means to one does not necessarily mean that to another. So yes there are probably some those people here with those characteristics, but there are genuine people looking to make connections and just discuss. I do believe however they have single and mingle group on here.
