I switched the television on tonight and caught most of "The Fifth Element" on Syfy. I'll watch that movie pretty much whenever I see it's on. What are some movies you'll stop to watch whenever you run across them when flipping channels?

I watch that movie too. I like a lot of movies that Bruce Willis is in.

'Red' is one of my favs, 'Diehard' 1 and 2 'Looper' was good too.

'Pulp Fiction', 'The Sixth Sense', '12 Monkeys', 'Death Becomes Her' lol.

I'm a little embarrassed to say I'll watch 'Starship Troopers' if I see it's on too.

I can listen to the same song over and over but I can't do that with movies. Some time has to lapse for me to be interested again. With that said i like Altered States, all of the Lord of the Rings movies, all of the Avengers movies, Avatar, and any movie that has a huge component of Computer Graphic Imagery.

Dances with Wolves, Shawshank Redemption, all of the Godfather's, Dirty Dancing (nobody puts baby in a corner! Ha), Footloose, the Matrix series, Lonesome Dove, the Alien series, Remains of the Day, Howard's End, Fast and Furious series, DieHard series, there are more I'm sure, just can't think of them off hand.

Fifth Element is a good choice.

Others would include The Blues Brothers; The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert; Galaxy Quest; Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure (I wasn't a fan of Bogus Journey); The first two Back to the Future's (not a fan of the third.)

I don't flip channels these days. Everything is streamed on demand with the possible exception of Top Gear and Dr Who, when they're on. So it's rare I end up watching something I didn't set out to watch, these days.

I love older movies best and have a collection of over 2000 of them. There are too many movies that I would always watch to list here. Love The Fifth Element! (Leeloo Dallas; multipass!" )

I have watched Shawshank Redemption about 100 times, or maybe only 50. Love the movie, love the characters, love the ending.

Jurassic Park. I would watch them all day.

Star Wars (any of the original trilogy), serenity, the thing. I'm sure there are more, but I can't think of them right now.

I cut the cord 12 years ago so we're all streaming all the time. I'll sometimes put a movie on instead of music while I'm cleaning, doing dishes, laundry etc. I'm a sucker for a romcom but I also love a good bloody action movie. "You've Got Mail" (this one in particular), "Love Actually", "Harold and Maude", The Princess Bride", "When Harry met Sally" and "As Good As It Gets" on the Romcom side. "John Wick" and "Deadpool"(I have all the lyrics to "Shoop" memorized because of this movie), the first two Matrix movies but especially the second one, "Tombstone" on the actiony side. "Bad Words" is fucking hilarious. And "Baby Driver" quickly rose through the ranks as it's like a two hour music video with great action and a a killer soundtrack.

My kids used to watch Princess Bride so much they could quote most of the movie. I need to ask them if they can still do that.

I haven't had channels to flip in over 5 years, but when I did it was Shawshank for sure. Even though I had the DVD, if I caught it on I just watched the rest. As for Fifth Element, I thought that was one of the worst movies of all time. It's on my Top 5 Least Favorite next to Cabin in the Woods.
