Science says that one day would could become robots by "downloading" are own minds on to a robotic body if this is possible would you choose to? I personally would.

Does this preclude that you would retain all your senses like touch? Would robots have sex with each other? Without touch how will you connect with other people? You'll communicate but will you be able to connect? What about taste? I assume you wouldn't need to eat any longer but that is one of my greatest pleasure along with sex of course. Without senses the answer for me would be you can live as long as you like and learn all the secrets of the universe but without these things for me it wouldn't be worth it. So put me down for NAH.

I have thought about this and have come to the conclusion that although I would like to live for a very long time at some point everything I have ever known would be gone. At some point the connections formed in my life from the world that made me what I am would be gone.
I might choose to do it but, I think I would want a switch that would shut me down.

Well I have thought about this a bit. In my contemplations I have come to my conclusion that when we die, that is it the memories and ability to create new ones ceases to exist. I just have not wrapped my head around how they would go on without all the synapses firing away in our brains which requires the living body or some magical something or science. The body can only be kept alive for so long. And i do not believe in the magic of heaven or hell or the after life. Are our memories attached to a soul?
But if somehow science comes up with a way to allow our memories to live on without succoming to deterioration that would be awesome. Especially for historical purposes. Now if science could also go beyond that and make it so that we would be sentient beyond our bodies that would be awesome. Maybe in bodies that would not have the need for things like oxygen and such and it would make things like exploring easier. I think I would love to be able to learn more and do more and experience more. I am curious how things will be in the future.

No I wanna be a human

Not! They're already talking about plugging people's brains into computers, so they live on forever, and ever and ever... No thanks- let me rest in peace. As far as the robot thing, what fun would it be if everyone else is doing it? I mean, I'd love to become an X-woman, but if everyone has powers then it's a level playing field again. Interesting question though.

No it doesn't any such thing. Science is simply a methodology for finding what can be backed up by demonstrable evidence nothing more nothing less. OK?

The post reads "Science says that one day would could become robots by "downloading" are own minds..." does it not markhas?

I think of all the manipulations an Orange Nazi Trump gov could do to us as robots. Would I be able to enjoy all the pleasures that I can get from a human body and avoid the pains and discomforts? I guess that can't be answered at this point.
