A thoughtful discussion from a carnivore who addresses the objections of a vegan that a carnivore diet is violent.
I've long given up trying to reason with vegans, emotions get in the way and when that occurs no rational conversation could take place. In reality we live on a revolving buffet with weather, whenever a lifeform goes to eat something else must die in the process (I believe they refer to that as the circle of life). While I do acknowledge human beings have the inclination to be motivated by profit (how animals are processed for human consumption isn't necessarily always the most humane method), there are plenty of other carnivorous animals out there who violently kill their prey, so I think that argument used by vegans is redundant. Cripes, there are plenty of types of plants that rely on catching live prey in order to supplement nutritional needs, but that much is conveniently ignored by the vegan crowd. Over the years I've known about a dozen or so individuals who lived a vegan lifestyle for most of their adult lives, and oddly enough with the exception of one person not a single other lived past the age of 65. The "corpse eater" argument is another pointless one. Doesn't matter if your veggies are frozen or freshly picked, there's a good reason why at the local supermarket the fresh asparagus is kept in water (hint hint, because it's dead).
You might like the book The Vegetarian Myth by Lierre Keith. She's also in a number of YouTube videos, most recently with Siim Land-it's excellent. She was a hard-core, dogmatic, moralistic vegan for 20 years. Ruined her health. She firmly addresses the moral argument.
