I read a post on Facebook yesterday with a bunch of christian friends saying they know the Bible doesn't clearly say anything about animals going to heaven but what about my dog.... And everyone jumped in saying their own justification as to why rover would be right there with them. Somebody even said there was a book about the wet noses in heaven..... It's just more of religion is what you make it. Sad about Grandma? She's watching over you from her mansion in heaven. Sad about dog? He'll be with you in heaven. It's something that works for kids but as adults, it's sad to see.

In Egypt they killed all the servants and pets so the Pharaoh would have them there in the afterlife.

When people believe in fantasies it can be really fucked up.

Using logic to explain nonsense is a fool's errand. Except that horses must go to heaven, because the horseshit has to come from somewhere.

Most people have more than one pet throughout their lives.. It seems like it would be to much. It's not like you would just be standing there in heaven with your current trusty pet.

I would have 6 dogs, at least 10 cats, a rat, a shrew, a gerbil, some birds and many goldfish...

Too many mouths too feed in the afterlife. Think about farmers, "Goddamn, I didn't sign on for this!"

From what I remember the catholic church states that animals have a group soul. Therefore dogs may or may not get there depending on if st Peter goes postal. Whereas serpents are out

Cherry pick, choose, make it up as you go along, ignore or change the bits you don't like. But never forget that your beliefs have the authority of god, unlike those of the none believers.

It’s at least harmless....idiotic, but causing no distress to animal or human alike. It’s no more stupid than any other of their delusions.

If there is indeed a heaven and there aren't any dogs there, then I'll take a pass on heaven and go where the dogs go.

In the ground then!

That's where we all end up, whether we walk on two legs or four.
