Finally getting our photos together from our 33 day adventure. One of the more interesting excursions we did was in Akaroa, NZ. We went swimming, in the wilds, with the NZ endangered dolphins. The wx was marginal. The water was damn cold, and rough. 4 swift-boats headed out with us 'elders' to attempt to find and then swim with these creatures. three of the four boats turned back claiming the waters were way too rough. Our skipper was about to give up, but then spotted a school of dolphins swimming towards a "quieter" inlet. he followed them at a distance. We were rewarded with a huge school of endangered dolphins swimming in relatively calm waters. The waves were still pretty significant and the temperature of the water was "cold".... DAMN COLD. He asked us if we wanted to try swimming with them. "HELL YES" was the unanimous "elder" response..... So, we did.

Cool, sounds like it was one hell of an adventure.

IN my days of diving you would pee in your wet suit to warm it up a little, but I am guessing that is a faux pa when in a rental. ?

I'm surprised your photos don't show a blue tinge! I used to turn blue and shiver with cold after just 15 minutes in the Indian Ocean, right by the equator!
You two certainly look sparkling with happiness. Great.
