Free tuition at 2 year college should be everybody. How would research support this as an advantage for everyone to have a two year degree without any financial worries to obtain a vocational or academic Associates Degree? If you are against this ...tell me why? Or for it ... tell me why not?

Sounds nice but most idiots don't want to pay taxes for infrastructure or anything else for that matter, so it will never happen. I like to ask them, when they are bitching about taxes, "You support your police and firemen right?" Of course they say yes but then when I ask, "Don't you think they deserve raises?" they get mad.

If everyone understood how our sovereign FIAT monetary system actually works in the US, we'd be having an entirely different conversation about "the public purse".

I would be more in favor of doing this with technical colleges that have a definitive career at the end rather than a community college which is open ended. Community college is not free even in Canada although it is exceedingly reasonable compared to what Americans pay.

Good point on the end goal.

I would even support a two year service commitment for four years. Service commitment could be varied from hospitals, inner city work, VISTA like, military, etc.

@Gwendolyn2018 it would need to happen early, like some countries do about 18 to 25.

@Gwendolyn2018 after a number of years and implementation of such a system, what we now call non traditional students would increase as they complete their service requirements and start colleges.

Another simple question with complicated connections. Right now most community colleges are full. Adding more students will create a huge burden. Education is a resource and as such, limited. Who will foot the bill will including building many more campuses. Also, who gets to attend, citizens our everyone?

Education, health, a decent place to live and a living wage. That is what everybody should have without having to spend a penny.

Yes, Why? Debt will hinder student's ability for a place to live or have enough food. Without the basic economic supports, it will hold the student from giving back to society as a productive (working) citizen.
