Okay single folks, how are you spending Valentine's day? Or as I call it, "Single Awareness Day"? Don't give me shit for calling it Valentine's day either........"saint" or not, I like the candy!! I think I'm dressing up, and taking my single happy ass to the Phoenix Art Museum. There is supposed to be some fun for all happening there!

Valentine's Day is my mom's birthday too so I'll be taking care of her. I also might be going on an undate with an ex girlfriend after work in the morning

It's just another day. Whatever happens or comes up is what i will be doing, just like any other day.

Well, I would love to actually have someone to spend VD with at some point. It seems like a great way to spend a day. That being said, I guess I'll just have a couple of drinks and watch Hallmark.

Probably on Skype to my ex girlfriend of 15 years - she lives 2000 miles away. We have no intention of getting back together but we're both single and we enjoy a chat and will probably have dinner together online 🙂

With myself, holding myself? Fuck if I know, most likely won't be with any significant other type of person for certain. Probably just smoke some green and forget what day it is lol.

I've told some people that I like to celebrate Al Capone Day.

I'll be spending it recovering from the flu with kids in various stages of said flu. Tamiflu is the valentine of choice for us this year.

I'm meeting a friend for dinner, and I'm staying away from wearing anything red.

It'll just be a normal working day. I've never received many Valentine's cards even when I was married (bit of a clue as to past tense) so don't expect tomorrow to be any different. But then again I may be surprised, if I am I hope she leaves a sizable clue, I'm really useless at spotting who likes me (see ex wife thing again!) lol

Just like any other holiday, it's just another day to me.

You do not need a day with a special name to enjoy all that you have stated and can do it on any day you choose.

I'm actually pals with an ex who has given up on relationships. She's making dinner, and we'll drink wine and commiserate. Will actually be a nice evening with no expectations hanging out with someone I'm really comfortable with.

I will be at work. Then I will come home. My cats will be happy to see me. I'm okay with that. I have zero feelings about the "holiday" -- positive or negative. If I was partnered and received flowers or a night out at a fancy restaurant, I would appreciate the gesture. But, I would not at all expect it.

I usually don't do anything on Valentines day. But I do take my daughter out every year for valentine's day. We just use it as an excuse to go out to a really nice place and get dressed up lol

Digging holes for a clothes line.
Then going for a nice walk with my dog.
I do love museums and art galleries though, I take a small sketch book and draw.
Enjoy singlearity.

I will be working. I will have dinner with my kids on Thursday, not because of V day, but because we do every other Thursdays. V day will be just another day, but I think my manager might be planning some treats. Seriously, my office hands out more food than anyplace I've ever been before.

I like to call it forced affection day.

Single Awareness Day, I love it. It's not too difficult ignore. I did not care for it much when I was married.

Hahaha

Doing kid stuff. My son's a Valentine's day baby. So we'll be partying kid style.

2

I'll be working. It both makes me forget I'm single on V-Day and ensures I'm single on V-Day.

All these "Days", mother's day, father's day, etc have totally lost their original meaning and have become days when folks are encrouaged to spend on cards, flowers, candies, meals etc.

Being an miserable oldie I ignore them.

I like "singles awareness day" !

For the big day...I rented a movie yesterday, so I could save it for the 14th. I have cats, so they'll be in my lap. And I have some little boxes of Junior Mints left over from Halloween. Sounds like the perfect Singles Awareness Day celebration: movie, cats, leftover Halloween candy.
