What’s something that you really loved once and now are annoyed by?

I really loved Harry Potter growing up and even five years ago would have considered myself a much bigger fan than most people. Now... it’s everywhere. I’m constantly bombarded by it and I feel like a really precious piece of my childhood is slowly being killed through mass marketing.

I got into video games when they were new(I'm talking intellivision). I was in my late 20's. Now, my collage aged son plays them non stop and they drive me nuts.

I once considered Avatar a wonderful fantasy world but now, but after watching it 3d many times and listening (Projector off) to it dozens of times, every stupid (why didn't they just (insert obvious plot hole)) now annoys me. Will probably run it a few more times as in 3d it is eye candy and I know someone who would like to see it in my theater but the magic is long gone.

I used to really enjoyed the movie "The Golden Compass" . . . until I read the book.

The move should have been more like an ominous and dark Batman movie instead of a bright, clean and happy (with a little death sprinkled in for color) fantasy.

The star wars franchise take over by Disney. Star wars should be edgy, not sugary sweet. predictable and stereotypical. ?

Star Trek. CBS has taken Gene Roddenberry's vision and shit all over it. From blatant disregard for basic canon to the outright attack on the fan fiction which Roddenberry himself considered to be part of the fabric which made Star Trek special, CBS has defiled something which I have held dear since the first moment I was old enough to watch a television show or a movie and be able to follow what is going on.
