A PSA for those with elderly relatives. Please, PLEASE stop sending your elderly relatives out alone to deal with their financial/important paperwork business. The amount of elders I see, befuddled and entirely lost trying to navigate these issues via technology they haven't begun to understand is astounding. I know your Mom, pops or aunt susan have been handling their paperwork their entire lives but so much has changed with new tech, y'all have no idea how much they struggle. It hurts my heart and I shouldn't be seeing aunt Sarah's financials. I am ethical but that isn't true of everyone.

great PSA! Thanks, I can see how that profession could attract criminals.

I am a social worker and help elderly disabled or those who are limited. When families can't help there are senior services or social services that may help.

Most of us are too proud or independent to ask for help. I don't have problems with technology, been there for a long time but sometimes the bureaucratic paperwork can be a bit overwhelming. I'm always helping older family and friends with their phones and computers, they become so frustrated. It won't be too much longer and I may need the help myself.
