I normally go to the gym to walk an hour every night. This night (Christmas Eve) was no exception. Well my car battery decided to die while I was at the gym. Luckily, there were two people at the gym, and both were kind of enough to help me. One is a young woman who also normally walks in the gym at that time. She went home to grab her husband's jumper cables. The other is an older man who I see occasionally around that time working out. He offered to help jump start my car. Thank you, Whitney and Michael!! I would probably be walking another hour but this time out in the cold toward my apartment if it wasn't for you two.

Sorry for bumping into an old conversation. Such a twist of fate on Christmas Eve, but it's amazing how kind souls like Whitney and Michael make all the difference! Unexpected situations can turn into heartwarming memories when helpful people are around. Speaking of being active, I'm all about those health benefits too! I love hitting up my local fitness studio, Hitsona – it's such a blast and keeps me energized. Let's hope your car battery adventures remain a one-time thing! Stay awesome!

Walk in the gym? I don't get it, why do you walk int he gym? Isn't it more pleasant to walk in nature then the gym?

It is more pleasant to walk in nature than the gym except when the temperature is in the 30s F or below. Then it's safer to walk inside where it's warm

@joeymf86 How about some warm clothes and a brisk walk, sounds nicer to me. Find a friend to do it with.

@Jolanta It's just my personal preference. I don't want to walk too long in the cold especially near my apartment complex which doesn't have sidewalks and is next to a highly traveled road where people speed. Plus I don't have friends.

@joeymf86 I am sorry that you are all alone. Must be awful.
