2019 is likely to be the Year of Fools for me. I wear soft, flat, black shoes at work that I buy 2 pairs at a time. Today, when I took off my snowy boots, I discovered that I had accidentally taken 2 LEFT shoes to work blush I'm wearing them because they're soft enough to fit either foot, but I do feel rather silly. Oops.

You're not starting your year off on the right foot, are you?

Sorry....
I had to.

Brilliant!

I've left the house wearing two different shoes that don't match.

I have done the same.

I had an uncle show up at a funeral in one brown and one black shoe.

Did you know that shoes used to be made exactly the same for both feet? It was up to the wearer to break them in to fit the right and left foot...so really, you are doing fine...ha ha ha...

Aha! I am cleverly reverting to the golden age of footwear 🙂

Nah, this is just the year you learn to double check your shoes before putting them in your work bag.

I appreciate the reminder and will take heed. I just bought 3 pairs of my favorite work shoes because Italian Shoemakers are discontinuing gold sandals with sparkles and I wear them out quickly. I often will pack them in my bag and wear different shoes for driving. I may just keep one pair in my car, just in case I make the same mistake!

Those sandals sound lovely!

Ah yes, the car - my second closet.

You might not be getting younger anymore.

I have been getting younger every year since my daughter turned 16. I tell her that on our birthdays. 😉

@pixiedust my mom stayed 39 until her youngest (of 7) turned 40.
