SJWs UNITE: Jordan Peterson has said repeatedly, "Life is hard."

Tell me how him saying that is in anyway wrong?

Peterson's message is clear, "Become responsible for your life. Think for yourself."

Again, tell me how those statements are in anyway wrong for any of us?

If you find yourself typing before at least a 30 minute period of thinking, you are part of the problem, not the solution. It is time to again examine your programmed responses.

Neither of those statements is wrong but they also don't encompass his and other free speech warriors overarching message of western chauvenism where they whine about how tough white guys have it because we can't use racial slurs? They seem to be dog whistling the point that no one is unfairly repressed except white guys and that just can't be taken seriously. I never really found a consistent point in his mess after hours, not 30 minutes of listening and thought. Peterson is all about personal responsibility except when it comes to speech or when he advocates forced monogamy. It's beta cuck broflake nonsense at it's finest.

Broflake

There’s a lot JP can be rightly criticized for, and you do a fine job of it here, but I wouldn’t criticize him too much for the insanity of his followers, because they don’t understand him any better than many of his detractors do. He’s probably a good influence on them, all things considered.

@OwlInASack
He’s a long way from perfect.

@OwlInASack
Yes, it’s impossible to have a bonafide discussion with anybody’s cult-like followers. Not many people who have a high emotional investment in a subject are able to open up to reason.

@OwlInASack
We've all been there, for sure.

@OwlInASack
Very likely true, I'd say. At any rate it's never wise to get too attached to any idea if we want to stay open to growth.

@OwlInASack
Yes, the tricky thing about evidence-based worldviews is that we can never know all of the evidence. So we are stuck with continuing to learn more, as time allows, and continuing to update the worldview as new evidence comes into view. If we take up an identity based on any one snapshot of this parade of evidence, then we will be forced to continually, and painfully change our identity (or refuse to). Better, I think, to just release all tribal identities, and accept all new reliable evidence at face value, without any of its identity potential. I'll never be perfect at that either, but it seems like a useful goal. A healthy dose of humility is always good medicine.

The only thing you can say with certainty is that you don't get Peterson.

Free speech is the primary human right. All other rights and reasons come from this.

The first step toward fascism is the suppression of speech. . . Witness what the Cuba tyrants are doing now with artists.

@OwlInASack, @skado "Insanity of his followers"

How is it that encouraging young people to take responsibility for their lives is wrong?

Show me one example of a Peterson follower being evil?

@Jacar
I don’t think it’s wrong. And I don’t characterize all of his followers as insane; I’m a JP appreciator, myself. But in any large fanbase there are going to be some people who read their own neuroses into everything.

@skado . . of course there are loonies everywhere. But Peterson is doing good. For thousands.
I have found little to disagree with.

And i am tired of all the shit being flung at him, and sam, and gad, and dawkins, and pinker,....just because they are interested in the truth.

None of these men are alt-right. NONE!

@Jacar
I’m not disagreeing with you. All I said was he shouldn’t be blamed for the loonies among his followers. I think those are all good people you listed, and all 100% human.

@skado I was not responding to you.
