I am a virgin trying to have his first sexual experience and find a life partner. You could say that I have high standards and low qualifications, and it is getting in the way of me accomplishing my goal. But I want what I want and am not interested in settling. I am looking for advice on the issue. Perhaps someone can change my mind (or my status).

Are you at least going on dates? Or do you not even date them if the don't meet your "standards" on paper?

I've been on several dates in the past. They have all been religious individuals. This is Texas and atheists/agnostics seem be rare. Now I am getting on in age and I view a date with someone who does not meet these very basic requirements for a long term relationship as a waste of time. For both of us.
Increase your qualifications, lower your judgement level..

I think we can all agree that these are really basic requirements and so I'm not willing compromise on them.
I think you've hit the nail on the head. Increasing qualifications is a good plan.

I was just wondering which ones you are taking to extremes ??.. because from my viewpoint i see lots of ladies like that.. so im still confused on why your having so much trouble... ?
Is your goal just to have sex, or to be in a relationship with someone very special & have true intimacy with her? It's hard to give advice without more information from you.

One of my goals is to have a sexual experience. Another goal is to find someone reasonable that I can share the responsibilities of life with. If these two goals can be met by the same person, that's great.
It's matter of finding someone willing to help you with your ...uh...transition. Or, you can keep it a secret, and woo your way to the bedroom (making sure you study beforehand)
Years back, one of my much younger co-workers made it clear to everyone that he was a virgin wishing to change his status. He was a sweetie, and decent looking. We chatted and laughed often. I invited him over one night. An instructive, pleasant evening for us both. He never told others who it was , but he definitely walked with a certain swagger, and bigger smile after that ! Found himself a girlfriend not long after ...

Thanks. Im pretty open about my status. It Sounds like you found a straightforward and simple solution. I like that. I dislike ambiguity.
