Hi there.
I had a rough holiday and today just topped it off.
I would love to hear good news. A great story that happened to you.

Thank you!

A little late responding here, but anyway... I did want to share that thankfully this January has not been going the way most Januarys go for me. Usually everything is so slow and I feel stuck in the doldrums, but I have a couple of things going on or I'm looking forward to that are keeping me afloat... I started up again with a choir I joined in the fall; had to drop out because of bad timing and I also just didn't like the selections they'd chosen -- the timing is right, plus they're doing a variety of Broadway show tunes, which I love... I've also joined a few Meetup groups that I'm enjoying... And I'll be starting a 3-month LiveStrong program (exercise and lifestyle changes for cancer survivors) in the local Y at the end of the month.

Wish I had some. I did a similar thing on Facebook looking for good news. Hang in there, your time will come

Thank you.
I had nightmares all night but woke up feeling like I’m on the other side of this.

Cut fun but hollow boyfriend of over 2 years with tiny grasp of truth loose....6 days later, needing to make a notebook to keep delightful guys from Plenty of Fish, and one from here, straight! Life is damn good!

Good news? Well, minus the power outages in my apartment, the wind, and sound of the rain was very soothing.

I have Alexa and go to sleep to the Thunderstorm sound. It brings down my heart rate. I hope you have your power back.

I discovered an intimacy with a gay woman that did not include sex. She was injured and took comfort with me both physically and emotionally. And it felt so good.

That’s really remarkable. It takes a lot for some to let their defenses down to experience that.

I went to the hardware store to make new key for my house . Not in a great mood but ok , and w Diego boy in my big purse refusing to play dead and getting unwanted attention by other clients on line to check out . I thought for sure I ll be told to get out any minute now . Fair enough , no dogs allowed , and normally I sneak that one everywhere and he knows what to do .
A man walked towards me kinda fast and pointing on me as well , and I thought , here we go , time to go ! His face thou was familiar , I knew I ve seen this face b4, just couldn't remember where , and this was my first time at the store today .
He called me " dude !" And I am like , who the hell is he , the only people that are calling me " dude " are people at work ?
He gave me the most unexpected hug ever , and I have to say I bend down to my knees as I recently managed to get two ribs bruised and cracked , man , I don't need any tight hugs right now , still hurts . The guy told me that I was his nurse a year ago when he came in w a fractured left knee and ankle . He was still drunk , had a fall , and friends brought him over . I remeber then every minute of his visit . The pain , the process to sober , the anxiety , and later the embarrassment and the fear . He said , he remembers that every x he was trying to get out of bed or been stupid , a voice will say " DUDE "! Calm down sir . "
I laugh so hard today . Diego barked , the store manager came and we took the talk outside .
I feel happy Bcz his leg looks great . I feel happy Bcz he claims sober for near a year and I believe him . I feel happy Bcz he remembers me . I don't have any kids .
My saved game in life is stories likes him . I felt like life is worthy today .
No key made . Will try again tmrw ?

A dog. A nurse. A sober former patient.
Thank you.

That was a beautiful story. Thank you for sharing!
