Okay, here is my experience with religion, it sucks, they have made guilt a money making institution, they use Jesus like a sideshow carnival. The Supposed ministers of God buy mansions while talking about charity and do this while people are homeless and starving. They air condition their dogs house while people are dying on concrete and now they are making it illegal to feed the homeless. Plus,the kicker is, they get a 10 billion dollar mansion and pay no taxes. WTH? has this country become?
I am seriously thinking of going to Mexico,Cancun to live. It would be cheaper and I could get a apartment on the beach. This has become a culture of cruelty and lies. The Catholic church is even worse, I used to be a devout Catholic. Then I heard about the priests molesting children, okay, that happens everywhere, sadly, but the huge betrayal here is that they knew it AND DID NOTHING! They just moved them to a different place to victimize more children. Well, I tried them all almost. I missed the 7th Day Adventists.
There is something,the word God is just a concept. The bliss and light I feel during meditation, the feeling of overwhelming love and total acceptance and compassion I feel , is incredible now. Whether it is God, the collective unconscious, Brahman, or the purple people eater, who cares, it is the experience of knowing and awareness of the totality and Oneness of existence. It's fabulous and there is only ONE. If you test this out for yourself, no real self, we are a process of awareness and not a static being , you will experience the same. Your fear will be gone if you have any and most people fear death if nothing else. You drop the body like a shell, or a moulting, there is no death. Consciousness is not brain centered. It is a receiver and broadcaster of the one, like a node of awareness focused. Like a whirlpool in the river, for awhile focused in that activity then released, but still never not a part of the river. During that activity the whirlpool thinks it is separate in it's activity.
Like a ray of sun that forgot where it came from. Doesn't remember the sun, looks around at the other rays and thinks, wow, this sucks, who are they? Are they friendly or not. The rays are an extension of the sun, not separate. But say anything and you will be told you are going to hell, called names, a heathen, etc. etc. I don't have time for that, I only regret I moved to NYS, to a small town, this is the coldest place I ever lived. They hate outsiders. I have a buddha statue, I put it in a closed room. I am already being shunned so to speak, I don't go to church, well, there is no place else to go here, not even a movie theatre, what a mistake I made moving from a university town to here. Anyway,enough personal stuff. Supposedly this country was founded on the principle of freedom of religion or no religion,now it is taking over government and being shoved down your throat. Jesus spends more time in jail than anywhere else, it is the only way anyone can get parole as far as I could see while working there for a short time before I quit. You better find Jesus if you were put in jail for pot if you ever want to get out. I felt sorry for the people in prison who were there, but that is another whole subject. I am a retired nurse now.
