Every show from that era spent more time on the credits than the half hour show. Now, they spend 3 hours listing gaffers' best boys and their hairdressers when they could have been making a better film.

So the reference was to Gilligan's Island. The 'joke' - if you can call it that - was the theme song in the first season didn't include the Professor or Mary Ann (simply said "...the movie star, and the rest, are here on Gilligan's Island". Bob Denver stood up for them and said they needed to be included.
