It has never been worse.

The republicans have never been more openly corrupt, the government has never been more dysfunctional, the country has never been more divided, democracy has never been more in jeopardy, Murica has never looked more ridiculous on the world stage, and the majority of its people have never been more disgusted and angry.

The state of the union is a dumpster fire. Tune in tonight to watch the cheetoh colored shithead spin a tale of greatness and prosperity that exists only in his fevered imagination.

The USA is, at present, a pile of crap. 😟

In other words, "a shit hole nation".

@TheMiddleWay I agree that there is some good in the people. But we need to choose our elected officials more wisely. At present we are treating the world with a great deal of disrespect. We revoked our participation in the Paris agreement. We lock up refugees at our southern border and separate children from their parents. We have a lying fool in the White House, causing chaos in the country and in the world.

On the positive side, it is possible that we can elect more ethical and thoughtful people in the future. I hold on to that hope.

In the meantime, though, our country is acting like a pile of crap toward the world and toward ourselves.

The state of our Union is that, due to Trump, our nation, democracy, and people are in imminent danger.

@TheMiddleWay It wasn't so many years ago that plenty of people were pretending Sarah Palin was actually a competent candidate for Vice President (and, hence, President). And the only reason she was even picked was to appeal to voters who had (and have) only the loosest relationship with reality. Now those same people think Trump is the greatest thing since sliced bread.

I think of it as the State of Disunion Address!
