I'm through with being a humanists. Karma isn't real and the truly bad persons of this world get away with whatever they want to, usually because of wealth. I don't know what else there is to do now because I have too much empathy to be a piece of shit. I think discontinuing this mystery is the only way out. I hope you all have better lives than mine has turned out to be. Much love. xoxoxo

Karma, comes out of the psych...we cannot know the psych of another person. We cannot see the distortion that another person operates out of, and how it is visited back onto the self. Distortion is not directed in just one direction...it must be all around and back, upon...because it is all created out of the mind!

Don’t allow what was done to you or even your history to define you. We focus on what we need and what is meaningful for our existence...and we work from that point onward! That way, we own our life, and it comes to mean something to us...if not to others! Never allow others to define you!

Faith is a distraction. Only real action will change our lives. We have to stop relying on "god" or Karma to fix things and do it ourselves.

Perception can work miracles! The great things in life we choose to embrace are a travesty towards others, and there may as well be people that can benefit from your tormented soul! Everything has a duality, life is a paradox. Infinity is something enveloped by nothing! No need for worry when an unbalance is not possible!

Much love. I don't see what's wrong with ending it if you believe it is too much to bear. I hope I get to choose when I end it too. I have cancer but I still have plans but once I've completed the bucket list, if this pain gets worse, which it has been, I plan on ending it then. So I wish you luck.

No one "gets away" with anything. Outward karma is the cycle of cause and effect, nothing more nothing less. Inwardly, karma is what we do to ourselves because of how we see ourselves, based on our actions at best and on how we've been treated at worst.

Karma doesn'tt mean everything is going to be fair overall, just that actions have consequences, and that much is incontrovertibly obvious. The concept of karma is not useful if you're using it to keep score between what you and another person can "get away with." You can escape a lot of bad karma through the enlightenment that comes with knowing that how you feel about your own actions is all that you have any recourse with. You can escape a lot of legal karma by being super rich and/or white but that doesn't mean you've escaped all consequences. Legal action is a very small, fallible, human dependant way for karma to catch up with someone, and it has only a slightly higher rate of success than St Peter. Shit catches up to people in other ways, believe me.

Take Trump for example. On his face he's undermined every form of human decency we know and is getting away with it. Behind the scenes hes a mess of a human, senile, falling apart, addicted to amphetamines, bloated eating nothing but fast food; hes the laughing stock of the world, he's the most hated person in history next to hitler, everyone he brings near is going to jail and he's not far behind. That's all his doing, his karma, the results of his actions catching up to him.

Even if you do believe that karma is bullshit, it has no outward impact, as a person with a lot of empathy you can surely see that you feel better when you've done good for others and you feel bad when you do harm, right? That's all the motivation to be a humanist that one should ever need. The alternatives are to bitterly act like a prick and give into entitlement like trump has, while convincing yourself that everything bad you bring on is someone else's fault, or to isolate yourself totally and do your best not to have any interaction, good or bad. Dont give up. The good youre able to do still matters. Not because of any divine retribution, you can just see a good mood or a bad one ripple through others based on what you bring to the world. Even if you never see the results for yourself, it's totally worth it to do your best.

A humanist is "a person having a strong interest in or concern for human welfare, values, and dignity." (Dictionary.com)

That's a good thing.
