I'll just leave this right here... [cnn.com]

Collusion happened. Connect the dots. Debbie Wasserman Schultz leveraged DNC resources in favor of Hillary long before the primaries finished because Hillary had bailed the DNC out of debt and kept them above water with a monthly stipend and an agreement that each state would give Hillary's campaign their money, leaving no funds for down-ballot democratic contenders to use for their runs. Just because nothing was done about it doesn't mean it is okay to do. Period. We go after insider trading violations, yet ignore this slimy stuff. Nope, no bias to be found here (wink~wink).

The difference between this time and last time is that Bernie has forced the party to come back to the left and adopt most of the platform issues he ran on last time. He's put the parties feet to the fire, just as he promised. I suspect Bernie has no intention of winning. And even if he doesn't win, the eventual winner will be forced to adopt more of his platform.

I call that a different kind of win.

Watching with great interest. I can hope that enough learning happened in 2016. I am not willing to wager on it, though.

Oh dear. It did not work well that last time. I would LOVE a strong 3rd party candidate but unless Mueller comes thru with the proof not just on trump but the involvement of Pence and Mcconnell we need a very strong candidate to bring this country together. We have always had a fairly large group of people that think like trump supporters but they did not have representation in the WH like they do currently and that is not healthy for American democracy.

The fact that there are so many running says the Democrats are screwed...they have no game.

It's too early to make that determination

The Republicans were in that same position in '16. It was like a freakshow...

Good. This makes things interesting. Not sure if, at his age, he actually expects to become president or if he is trying to stir up the middle and left to actually organize and DO something. The risk is a nonconservative split, which could be disastrous as we already know. Either the dems REALLY need to get their shit together (and actually listen to their constituents) or the time for a successful independent is drawing nearer than ever...

Grab your popcorn! (;

All true. However, Schultz is not the one to pull it off.

My thoughts, exactly!

please retire

I'd rather that Bernie stayed in the Senate, along with Warren. I believe they can both do far more good by remaining there.

@KKGator I like his ideas Most that isbut his age is against him and Warren made some mistakes that will take her down. The senate is fine for both of them.

My thoughts exactly!

I thought his age was a problem the first time around. He's 77. His life expectancy is less than 8 years. He might not even make it through his term.

Correct

@Marine Sorry if I hit a nerve there.

@Stephanie99 No nerve just agreeingwith you.

Dems need to find someone who is a leader of men the way Obama was. Someone who is a natural alpha and would be a good fit for the position.

Bernie Sanders is a good man and a dedicated senator, but he's a working class kind of guy. The kind of guy who is at his best when he is doing the boots on the ground work. He's much like Jimmy Carter in that way.

I'm not sure if Bernie Sanders would be happy in the Oval Office even if he were to be elected. He'd probably find himself hating all the ass in seat time, additional paperwork and other bullshit that goes with the job and wishing that he could just get back to Vermont and help his constituents face to face and in real time.

I agree 100%

Actually, we need a guy like him, but I think he doesn't have a chance. He is a thinker and a visionair. American politicians in general are not. They are more working on their own interests and reelection than taking care of the country. But, Berny as a vice-president, as running mate of a powerful president, he might do good work. Anyway, I would grant him a term. Jimmy Carter has been one of the best presidents we had, although he was not widely appreciated.

@KKGator Hey, I'm not an American citizen and I am not allowed to vote anyway. This is vision from the sideline.

Bernie is a large part of the reason Trump won, IMO. He split the liberal vote. But we also need to keep racist white women from voting...

@maturin1919 Closer to 3 million.

@powder HIllary isn’t perfect; none of us are. And she did beat Donald in the popular vote. GOP gerrymandering and Russian influence stole her win. I’ll leave you to your own misery now.

My only problem with him is his age. Not personally but it will have an impact on votes.

Bernie will look like a ray of sanity unless the public feel social democracy is madness. Many will.

Don't get me wrong, I like him, but I just don't see him as a viable option.

Lol. There might be a fear they are voting for a corpse-in-waiting.
