Of all the things I have lost, I miss my mind the most.

How many have ever gone out, stretched out and fallen asleep in the woods? I saw my first ruffled grouse after doing so and waking up in a darkening glen.

I've never done it in the woods but on my property, yes, a few times...

Once of the things I love about living in the Pacific Northwest is there are plenty o places to do just that.

Gosh, yes. I was amazed by Seattlites telling me how lovely it must be to have been born in green Ireland. I never so much green as I saw in Washington State.

@brentan I've loved hiking in many places, but when I lived in Washington the green, wet forests were beautiful to trudge through. More Waldonish. The California Sierras were more Castenadaish.

I live in Oregon, there is no place like home <clicking heels> there is no place like home!

@brentan Vancouver, B.C. is even greener... and I visited there during the winter

They are lovely places to meditate now that all the dangerous animals have been exterminated.
