I must admit that the internet has made searching out information 1000 times easier than it was when I was first learning to use a library, but if it disappeared tomorrow, I would just go back to using books the way I have for most of my life.

I'd mourn my loss of Amazon.com, Netflix and Hulu, I'd support local newspapers more, and I'd go back to writing letters to the editor, like I did in college. Or maybe I'd move to a country that was more civilized. Norway, perhaps.

It actually would probably make my life better. I think about disconnecting my internet a lot lately. Once my kids are out of the house I may do that. I would definitely be able to get all the books I’ve accumulated read.

I'd increase my level of so-called illegal activities. Before the internet, I spent a lot of time in the non-fiction section of the library.
