Here is the list i know of:
young, child, offspring, children, white, british, high, christian...

i know there are more, but i find it vain to reread what i have written, unless i am not happy with it or someone responded (context.) is there a list of taboo words that the site removes/censors? the list above seems strange to me although i suspect it was context? and i am allowed to go back in and correct the post.

why does this site remove words from what i have written? it makes the post or comment or reply potentially unreadable to drop words from it. further, if i am allowed to reenter the writing and change it to what it was, what is the point of dropping it in the first place?

either publish the words i am not allowed to use (this may be grounds for divorce, after all they are just words and given the list above, strangely innocuous that they be dropped) or quit editing what i have written. i meant what i wrote or wouldn't have written it.

I have never come across this in my writings.

Most likely an unintentional glitch in the coding. For a while the word "thin" was being dropped, so, for example the word think would just show up as k. I think that has been fixed now, but there were others. The site is created and operated by a small staff who do a remarkable job, but there are often little glitchy irregularities that come and go. It's part of the charm.

in no way did i disparage anyone's work. i asked if there was a list of words to avoid. and while i would take exception to said list, i did not blame shoddy work.

charm is having to reread posts an hour later to try and find randomly omitted words? your word.

mine would be more akin to aggravating.

it is helpful to see this rather than "maybe you're batty" or "proofread your shit."

It's a glitch.

so i posted to "site and customer service" are you aware of a path to remedy?

@larsatrg No, I am not. I'm basically only computer semi-literate. Good luck.

@KKGator thx. Was attempting to ask if there was a way to administration. A 'help' button link. I did not see a way other than what I did, which is wasting quite a few people's time. I had thought the post would go to administration.

@larsatrg Oh, gotcha.

p.s. my eyes are bad so i, who reread what i have written all the time, reread what YOU wrote and have another little thing to say, which is that it is not vain to reread what you've written. it's called proofreading and it's a good thing.

"unless i am not happy with it" proofread. past tense. when i am happy with it it is proofread and done. not that it is 100% right and correct, but it is 100% what I wrote.

you will also note my use of the edit button.

@larsatrg no, i cannot note the use of the edit button because i did not memorize your post.

g

@genessa it says "edited" on the bottom of my reply. Apologies, I don't know what you see.

@larsatrg i saw it at the bottom of one, not the one you seemed to be referring to. i sometimes see it when i edit and other times don't. it seems inconsistent!

I hope that is not happening 😟

it is not happening.

i see all of those words here all the time so they are NOT being censored. there are even tags for them. look at other people's posts. you can see clearly that those words are not being censored. however, for a while, every time i made a post, the word "to" was gone, with a space where it had been. it was weird but it was just a glitch.

g

they also were not dropped from this post. that is why i offered "suspect it was context?"

so i posted to "site and customer service" are you aware of a path to remedy?

@larsatrg no. no one suggested a path to remedy the glitch i described above either. it just stopped. but it wasn't context in my case and i have no way of knowing if it was context in your case but it seems unlikely unless you were saying "let's kill all the white offspring of christian children...."

Is this really being done here? Or have you made a typing error leaving those words out? There is nothing wrong or offensive with those words.

If administrators have a problem with your posts, they should show your original with their distinctive editing so we can make our own judgment. Or, admins can comment to your post.

the list is accurate. multiple replies and comments. a little more context? school, white dude, indoctrinated ...

no typing error. go back in and where the word was is a space no word, then a space. word removed. definitely not a typing error. retyped one and it happened again...

i appreciate the question, and your solution but this is NOT what happened. what i said is what happened. what should happen if there is a problem with what i wrote is what you did (or similar), NOT what the site is doing.

you cannot even catch it unless you go to the post after a bit. it is not immediate. i am not to the level of infuriated, but i don't have that long a fuse.

There's a glitch in the site coding that deletes words, or sometimes letters from certain words.

@bingst and for all who are doubting me...

from my response to dare2dream above...

"the list is accurate. multiple replies and comments. a little more context? school, white dude, indoctrinated ..."

it dropped from my original response the following words: "HIGH" school, white dude, indoctrinated "CHILD"

it is in fact happening. happened right here. if it is a glitch "on my end," i suspect i am not the only one it is happening to.

@larsatrg it is a site glitch. the space where the word was is what happened to me. the word in my case was most often the word "to." the glitch did cease eventually.

@Admin or @SiteSupport, could you address this?
