Boeing are now shutting the stable door after the horse has bolted.
They have suddenly discovered that the "software update" can be done quite rapidly, after all, despite originally blaming the US government shutdown.
Why didn't the pilots' manual carry this information before? Why was the anti-stall system given such a misleading name? Why were FAA staff instructed to let Boeing analyse THEIR OWN system and then to accept whatever Boeing stated.
This entire matter stinks!!!
