I came into existence by happenstance with an indeterminant probability and I will die by circumstance with a probability of one.
Man created god in man's image.
Christianity is a fraud since its two main tenets, the virgin birth and the resurrection never happened.

Main tenents? It's ALL made up. ALL the tenents, all the everything. There is NOTHING, not ONE SINGLE WORD is true. Did you know there wasn't even a "Nazareth" around that time. It was a graveyard with a single adobe shack for the gravedigger? All the "history" of the period was all mixed up, or fabricated, or plain wrong. So don't bother singling out one or two tenents! It's utter nonsense.

I like your first comment, very clever. the other two are common knowledge.

When this is put down in words, it seems so ignorant! People are running around worshiping a ‘man made god’...in a developed Scientific age! And, when it is pointed out to them, they can get so overwrought... sometimes your life could be in danger! That seems beyond the pale, with a supposedly educated society! In fact, if there was an unexplored country out there, people would migrate to find ‘religious freedom,’ so they could worship as they please!! Lol

Exactly correct Freedompath!

Welcome to the asylum. Enjoy your stay.

Correct on both counts.

To my way of thinking, being a zealot for Christianity or a fanatic against it misses what I think is a seminal and historically verifiable truth.

The Bible is allegory.

To perceive Christianity as a based on it's religious texts is to suffer from the same literal minded trap that the Church has enslaved humanity with for centuries.

Parables and allegory, enhanced and exaggerated over the centuries as a useful tool to enslave the masses.

Treat it as a Morality and not as historic truth and not get so wrapped up in it's veracity; life is much simpler that way to my thinking.

Allegory? Of what? Again, it's either true or not, allegory or actual fact, who cares? I misunderstand yet again. My brain's not working today.

Right on. So Tennessee has one sound thinker… Lonesome over there?

Yes. The local Chattanooga paper is basically a church bulletin with a sports and opinion section.
In Trump country, I assume every stranger is carrying a gun and every vehicle has a gun in it.

OK.

...and the point of debate here is?

Christanity is a Jewish mystery religion. It borrowed ideas of a virgin birth and resurrection from other mystery religions that came before it. It is clearly man made.

I would give you a thumbs up, but they are not working again this morning.....

Same here, and thanks for the confirmation...

Virgin births are actually fairly common

Only in Accrington.

@Fernapple Hahahahahaha Response of the week!

@Amisja LIKE. best I can do, like button not working.

Mixed emotion is when one's daughter comes home at 7 AM carrying a Gideon bible.

Oh, that's funny!!!

@Fernapple I get it 😉

For what species?

@alliwant what species what?

If you are referring to impregnation without defloration, I have heard of that. But a God impregnating a woman from afar, the Christian story, well now that's another matter.

@David1955 Well it was a great story and yes, pregnancies without penetrative sex are fairly common.
