Well... we hungarians spent 500 years fighting against islam expansion. We also spent 150 years under islam occupation. We fought against 2 communist dictatorship and also spent 50 years under communist occupation. Soooo... we are now fighting against communist expansion promoting islam... again. For us, really nothing is new in this situation.

I wonder why Hungary doesn't have Islamic terror attacks and child grooming gangs and the UK does... Hmm. This will take a genius to solve...

What “communist expansion promoting Islam” is going on .....and who are the communists who are doing it? Perhaps if Hungary had had an Empire which contained large numbers of Muslims within it, some of whom then were allowed to emigrate and settle in Hungary and form a sizeable Muslim population, then they too may have had similar problems to the UK. This is not the case in Hungary, even if it was part of the Ottoman Empire over a century ago, very few Muslims live there now. We in the UK had an obligation to allow people from our former colonies in Asia to settle and become UK citizens, most of them are hardworking tax paying citizens, though a small number have indeed targeted vulnerable children, that is reprehensible, but again they only represent a minute number amongst the immigrant population. This depiction of Britain is untrue, as a citizen who lives there, I know it to be untrue....what exactly do you know first hand about either the UK or Hungary? Nothing would be my guess.

Well said. I note that Jacar has noting more to say. Typical. Make an ignorant controversial comment then run away and hide.

@Moravian Of course...he has read about Hungary and found a few items on the internet which suit his right wing agenda to bash the BBC and the EU with.

They have restricted islamic immigration and they do not have such attacks.

Did you listen to his justifications? They are labeled right-wing because they are opposing the EU insanity of open border.

Who is the Irish twat giving the commentary. Maybe he should remember that more people have emigrated from Ireland than currently live there.
Hungary has a right wing nationalistic Govt. The prime minister recently said he wants to encourage Hungarian women to have more babies as the birth rate is well below the replacement 2.1/1 and are against immigration . They had one terrorist attack in 2016 but have a very small muslim population although they were part of the Ottoman Empire.
Unlike France and the UK they did not colonise Muslim countries so do not have recent immigration from there.
Although they are part of NATO it is unlikely that they were involved in any material way in the attacks on North African countries so that may have a bearing on terrorist attacks or lack of them.
