There is not an opioid epidemic in Britain. Just Russel Brand keeping his name in the news.

@paulette96 Because I live in Britain and I keep abreast of the news. Heroin addicts are given methadone as a drug replacement. There is not a prescription opioid epidemic as there is in the USA.

@Moravian I wasnt thinking about rx drugs, I was meaning heroin. I would disagree with RB not being an expert on drug addiction, being an addict himself gives him certain expertise and credibility.

@paulette96 Thanks for the link. I find Brand an irritating twat but I agree with him here. Drug use and possession should at least be decriminalised. But to go back to your earlier comment. There is not a heroin epidemic in the UK

The situation in the USA is totally different. The above video is very long but gives a fascinating insight into how the "war on drugs" is destroying lives.
