What is happening? This forum is getting as intolerant, unsophisticated and aggressive as many of the other sites I have seen. Ad hominem attacks are frequent and responses are often vitriolic rather than reasoned thinking. Seems to have started a couple of weeks ago. Any ideas?

It's almost like the sites full of regular people.

I don't see it as any more intolerant than before. One thing that annoys me is when someone posts a controversial topic then makes no further comment. why do they do it ? Are they voyeurs who like to see other argue over the subject from the sidelines or are they just not very bright and not capable of making an intelligent comment ?.

I find most people here are respectful. If they are not you know what to what to do.

Nothing I’ve noticed. In fact, compared to most I’ve dabbled in, it’s a treat!

Report and block

Block! It is one of my favorite features. I block and have been blocked. It is quite painless and most effective. 🙂

Can you see me Sticks or have you blocked me?

@MsDemeanour no, l have not blocked you. 🙂

@Sticks48 Let me work on that 😛

@MsDemeanour Go for it, or block me. 🙂

@Sticks48 it's more fun sparring

@MsDemeanour However you want it. 🙂

I report and block people who personally attack me. Trumpsters and sexist jerks.

Also block mean guys who lash out at me when I say, "We live too far apart to develop a relationship."

As a passionate hiker, I want to stay near my beloved mountains. And my daughter.

@sweetcharlotte

Thank you, dear.

oh wow. amazing pics! Now THIS is the AMERICA I want to see. I'm happy to bypass New york, Las Vegas and Disney Land. But now this is truly beautiful. I'm think LH we should we should have a group where we can take pics of where we live. I could pop down to the reserve here and snap some pics of kangaroos. I love seeing how and where people live.

@LiterateHiker I stole a peek to see where you are. Then I had to keep zooming out to until I could see the water and canadian border to get perspective. Now I see Winnipeg and I recall that is where my dad's gf lives. (He's 85 and she's 92 and both fit, mentally and physically)

I block people, it helps. It's super pleasant for me. 😀

I wish sometimes we could do that in real life.........sigh....
