@Cutiebeauty It depends on where one is in level 8. Remember, you have to reach level 8 four times, under maximum points handicaps, to get to 9 - as you know the hard way!
I'm barely at 8.4

I'm not worried about it. I've been level 8 for seven or eight months now and still not halfway to 9. I'm not here for points or levels.

@Cutiebeauty I was level 7 for nine months. That was only 40,000 points over the previous level. At that rate, level 8 will take at least three more years, if I don't lose interest and go away. This seems likely.

@JimG I've been an 8 since August last year. I may reach 8.5 before I set off on this year's summer excursions around Europe, but then again, Britain may achieve Brexit by the 23rd May and not have to hold an election.
Don't hold your breath!!

@Petter I made it to 8 in late August or early September, I think. I'm level 8.2 now. I don't expect to stick around long enough to even think about the next level.

@JimG Miracles can happen. I've read about them in a book that many people revere as gospel.

idk.....i was wondering myself....went from 199998 to that.

@hankster Maybe a points review took place and you had been missing out. I know I seemed to be stuck at the 80,000 mark for ages, as if my points level had been frozen for me to catch up to it.
I wonder how the "signing-in" points are allocated, when a mobile phone is permamently connected and you do not need to sign in each time.
