Hello hello all. Living as a 20 some year old that constantly questions life. I've been diagnosed with several things but who knows what because different doctors and counselors say different things but currently medicated on paroxetine among more. Been through crap as everyone else. Just trying to find a place in the community somewhere

I appreciate the response from you all. It's quite shocking to see how people I've never met respond like this vs if I were to post this on other social media apps. I'm already enjoying the community.

Sounds like the absolute shits to me......so heres wishing you alot of luck with both hands, don't know what good that'll do you......but hang in there, keep plugging, ya know, allthose cliches... that are just meant to let you know you have people on your side rooting for you. Plenty of them here....so use them when you need.....

If you want some people to talk to while you sort yourself out come and talk to us on the mental health page. Don't rush to judgment too quickly about what is going on in your life. Sometimes it takes a while to sort things out and decide the best way forward.

As a WAYYYYYY over twenty-something, I wish I could offer some sage advice. But, alas, answer can themselves be big teases. In each of the few times I got an answer, that answer just came with more questions, and these were bigger questions. It seems the more we know, the more we realize we don't know. I call it a paradox, and I've spent a lot of years trying to get comfortable with paradox. It also helps to embrace a little chaos. For some reason, our brain is determined to try to make 'order' out of chaos, At one time I planned to study philosophy in college, but once I started, I just got suicidal. So I became a writer. I make less money than a philosopher (meaning less than nothing), but I get to peek behind the curtain, if you will, of chaos and order.

There are many different types of medications, so if the one you're taking isn't working, you could try something else. I personally have gone through so many medications I could do YELP reviews. A good counselor can really help. It's nice to have someone who knows their way around the attic to talk to.

And yes, community. VERY important. I made the mistake of spending way too much time in isolation, and that only made things worse. It helped quell the chaos of humans, but it also meant there was nothing to plug into for support and help and just some random silliness. Another paradox. We need people, the cause of, and cure for, most of our problems.

I often quote Bobby Singer from Supernatural: Stop trying to wrestle with the big picture son, you’re gonna hurt your head.

I think the real 'question' that you could ask, is "what makes you happy? What inspires you? How can you integrate those things into your life and make the best of them?"

That's a good quote to keep in mind

Steer clear of me. I'm bloody horrible.

Well now I'm curious

@Jellosfriend Mwahahaha! All part of my cunning plan (rubs hands together).

We are good with questions and answers here. Don’t throw away the pills, my son was in a similar position....getting the correct diagnosis is key to your getting the right treatment. It’s isn't an exact science, and sometimes it takes a while of trial and error with meds to get the balance right. Hang in there, and remember we’re here to listen when you need us.

Your diagnosis is life.
Doctors who prescribe paroxitine might be legally qualified to do so, but have not got a clue what is really going on in your head. Only you know that.
Try to avoid seeing your existence as an ailment, and throw away the drugs, if you can. If you are depressed then there are good reasons why. Mindfulness rather than drugs will give you a solution. Paroxitine will just numb you and dumb you down.
The reach for a pill syndrone can ruin you.

Hi and welcome. People from "all walks of life" exist here. I hope you will "liberally" add your voice to the mix and find it worthwhile.
