It's not exactly new news yet it is important to repeat the things that his supporters block out. I hear that he supports the troops and it makes me sick inside. He has no regard for anyone but himself and maybe his family a little bit.

1

i hate to break it to you but pete was not breaking shocking news. everyone KNOWS (and has long known) that donald faked his bone spurs. he played tennis the whole time he was supposed to be in too much pain to serve. this is not exactly a secret.

Trump was 4F with a heel spur according to a podiatrist that lived in his father's apartment house in Queens. But today Donald cannot remember which foot it was on.

tough to remember lies...

bone spurs don't go away all by themselves. unless he can show a record of surgical removal, he still has them, and doesn't have to remember where they are; he can feel them. he is obviously in too much pain to play golf, right? i have bone spurs in my hips. i know a little something about bone spurs (and pain).

And mayor Pete just found out about it? Where’s he been.

I think Pete has known about it for a while.

Faux "News" is just reporting it.

1

Didn't you know, fake is his middle name.

1

Yes this is true. It has been documented many times and the people involved listed and interviewed.

Who knows. The Kenyan president couldn't fake a birth certificate for a few years. Disability certificates are different.

The birther conspiracy has been over for so long...everyone knows that...I was born in Japan...it does not mean I am Japanese...

@thinktwice No, it doesn't. However in the US one must be born here to become a president. Looks like obama wasn't!

..

please tell me you arent actually functionally retarded, and this is supposed to be sarcasm...

@dellik I simple have a different opinion, oh Smart One! Unlike you, stupid jerk, I respect differences in opinions! This is called intellect. But whom am I talking to.

@motrubl4u It is a praise from someone l8ke you! Just checked your bio. Lol

Really! ffs when are you guys gonna stop with this crap? Tell me, would this kind of fake news have happened if Obama was white?

To paraphrase:

"It's ok make ignorant or dishonest claims. It's called having a difference of opinion. I respect ignorance/dishonesty, which I consider being an intellectual" -zesty

@AlPastor I think horses have two legs...that is my opinion...that is called intellect...uh NO

you are correct...the underlying fact has to be correct and then you comment...

Intellect would be: Is it possible at one time horses had two legs and evolved to have four? hmmm ?better do some research before I make that claim...oh...already dissproven...I no longer have an opinion on that...it is fact...

@motrubl4u My ilk? What do you mean, Mr. Technician and football analyst?

@zesty you are entitled to different opinions, but not different facts. thanks for letting me know you are, in fact as dumb as a brick though, much appreciated.

@zesty I don't know if you know this, but Hawaii is a state

@motrubl4u Keep analyzing football,

War is for the poor.

I'm not sure this is "going nuclear." Maybe if we weren't in a collective miasma of Trump lie fatigue... This a guy who fakes his damned golf scores. Do you think he'd let a little thing like the draft get in his way?

2

Buttigeig is absolutely correct. Little Donnie Trump's daddy paid a doctor to write a letter to Donnie's draft board stating that Donnie suffered from "bone spurs" in his feet. Simultaneously, little Donnie Trump claims to have played baseball, football, and soccer. But it's not as outrageous as it sounds. At that point in history it was common for wealthy Americans to get "doctor's letters" to keep their sons out of danger.

1

Of course it is true.

1

It's never been a secret.

not a secret!

2

Probably right, but no evidence survives as the doc died. Told his daughters, but that is hearsay evidence in a court of law.

here say [Sic, "hearsay"].

3

he should have gone to Canada as a draft dodger and stayed there...sorry, Canada...

that would have been the more honorable thing to do. but fortunately we were spared his presence.

@callmedubious lol you guys are not good sports at all...ha ha ha I figured you had a lot more wilderness than we do... 😉

4

Yes he is right, The military files list bone spurs but there is no evidence, The doctor who signed the medical waiver says it was prepared by Trump Senior as he leased a lot of space to this doctor. The doctor stated he never examined Donny the builder. So yeh, Trump faked it and I do loathe this person however dodging the Viet Nam war was quite a challenge. I was prepared for Canada if I got called.

EMC2 Level 8 May 23, 2019

I would argue that the military records constitute evidence.

@BitFlipper That is what I mean, there is no evidence of the exam itself but somehow it happened.

0

It is history, it won't change anything, so why bring it up?

It shows the character of man. But you may be right, it does not make a difference in how voters vote. George W Bush and Bill Clinton also did it. The majority voters have not served. They don't care.

why bring it up? because he is a lying, cheating sack of dung and anything to pin on him makes me smile.

@St-Sinner Bill and W had legitimate deferments. No doctors were paid off.

@david75090 Why deferments? Why not go? Why let others go and die in your place?

0

Yup.

Funny how dipshit Republicans talk about the military and all that shit, but get behind cowards that never seen combat then send other kids to war.

I know I know, that Jesus guy.

By the way, I am a veteran. I never saw combat and but I go have if ordered to. I did sign up.

Fuck right off, GOP.

In case you haven't noticed, GOP hypocrisy is a bottomless pit.

1

Yes. Dodgy McBoneSpurs lied to get out of serving.
First, when asked, he couldn't remember which foot was afflicted. Then, he said it was both.
Still haven't gotten any evidence that any of it actually happened.

Guess who else dodged joining the armed forces?

  1. Bill Clinton
  2. George W. Bush

@St-Sinner so because others did it is ok? Bad behavior is bad behavior...this is the here and now...

@St-Sinner ... and? I don't like Clinton for doing it either. That is 5yo logic "but billy did it too!"

@thinktwice No, but we should point out on both sides when we make a point. So it does not sound like one way ranting.

@St-Sinner
Bush served in the Air National Guard. So, technically, he actually did serve.
Saying Bush was a draft-dodger is untrue.

Clinton went back and forth regarding the draft, and was eventually pardoned by Jimmy Carter in 1977.

[snopes.com]

@KKGator At that time, the National Guard was a means to get out of the war. It was always an open secret.

@greyeyed123 True enough. However, for me, there is a difference in how both Bush and Clinton got out of serving, and how 45 did.
Then again, I hate 45 so much, there isn't anything he could do which would convince me that he is a decent human being. Nothing.

@KKGator You won't get any argument from me, lol.

@KKGator nor me...lol

@St-Sinner, what evidence do you have to your claims about Bush and Clinton???

Bush did not completely dodge service. He did go AWOL while in the Guard, but that is not the same as dodging service.

As for Clinton, he registered for the draft. He was not drafted because of his high lottery number. There was nothing even vaguely illegal or hypocritical in that.

Are you stupid enough to equate not running down and enlisting with draft dodging???

@mcgeo52 While Bush and Clinton found legal ways around joining the armed forces which was ethically and legally required, do not forget that someone else went in their place and possibly died. Ask families whose loved ones died. This is important especially when the assholes wanted to be Commanders in Chief. This is not just a debate just because we hate Trump so much and think Bush and Clinton cases were not serious.

@St-Sinner, so you really are stupid enough to equate not running down and volunteering with draft dodging.

Do you even have a clue how stupid that is???

What is the basis of your contention that joining the armed forcers was ethically and legally required? What kind of ignorant are you???

There was no ethical or legal requirement to join the armed forces. Indeed, many of us thought there were ethical grounds to refuse.

BTW, the National Guard is definitely part of the armed forces. So your stupidity is blatantly obvious in your statement that Bush found a legal way around joining the armed forces.

Get a reality check.

@mcgeo52 Be calm although everything is not fine. If you think Clinton was not a draft dodger, you are extreme left who will go to extreme to justify wrong of own sides. Half of country thinks Clinton was a draft dodger. It is too late to convince the half of the country otherwise. Argue with them whose loved ones died in his place, not me while you trivialize his cowardice.

@St-Sinner, anyone stupid enough to say that someone found a legal way around doing something that was legally required is far too stupid for me to waste any more time on.

Conversation terminated.

@mcgeo52 That is called far left. And we blame far right which does not think Trump did anything wrong. Lol

@mcgeo52 Are you just as passionate about someone legally finding a way not to pay taxes even though it is legally required? It might be disgusting and unfair, but, legal...is that the same?

@thinktwice, how can anything be legally required if there is a legal way not to do it???

Do you realize how stupid your question is?

@mcgeo52 Perhaps you are misreading...I am a CPA and see lots of people not paying taxes legally...there is no need to be so insulting and angry when I am trying to see where you are coming from in a respectful manner...perhaps we can clear up any confusion in a civilized and adult manner without the childish knee jerk reaction?

I am not attacking you by asking a question to promote different points of view and understanding...

Shall I rephrase or are you already closed to the discussion?

@thinktwice, how can something be both legally required and not legally required at the same time?

It can be legally required with an exception, but it cannot be both legally required and not legally required at the same time. To say so is complete nonsense, i.e., stupid.

@St-Sinner, you get one last chance to tell us exactly how Clinton dodged the draft. What specifically did he do to actively avoid the draft, other than student deferment which was NOT draft dodging.

What did he do that was on the level of the felony fraud that Trump committed?

As for your claim that half the country thinks he was a draft dodger, that is pure bullshit.

@mcgeo52 Agree...but that was not my question...take a calm breath...

I think you are getting bogged down on semantics and I understand now...

I think some of us were focused more on the sentiment and perhaps worded our questions unintentionally ambiguously...we are not stupid, so please stop...we are just operating at a level of communication different than yours, neither of which is more correct than the other...

ready to proceed?

@mcgeo52 You may be a fanatic Clinton lover but I am not a fanatic follower of anyone. I see things as they are and am not into justifying a wrong that many people called it as such. If you want to see how, just read the news articles. If Clinton was not a draft dodger, there would not be a campaign issue and a persistent discussion in the 1990s.

@St-Sinner, I read the CNN article you cited. Did you read it? Did you understand what you read?

Let me lay it out for you:
Bill Clinton had student deferments while at Georgetown and Oxford. That was not draft dodging.

Upon returning from Oxford he applied for ROTC. If he had actually completed ROTC, he would have been a commissioned officer (Lieutenant) and served in the Army. That is not draft dodging.

He decided that, rather than receive a deferment by participating in ROTC, he would simply wait to be drafted and withdrew his ROTC application in December 1969. I still don't see any draft dodging.

The FACTS, according to the source you provided, show that Clinton was not a draft dodger.

This has nothing to do with anybody's political views. These are the facts per your own source. Only rightwing nut jobs would argue otherwise.

BTW, I am not a fanatic Clinton lover. As I have stated above:
"As you probably know, I am no fan of Slick Willy and have publicly stated that one of the Dems biggest mistakes was not to vote to at least censure him for lying to a federal court under oath. If they had done that they would have held the moral high ground. Instead they let Bill drag them down."

You, on the other hand seem determined to defend the criminal currently occupying the White House. If you want to be that stupid, that is your right, but this is not the place for it. Please take your ignorant trolling elsewhere.

@mcgeo52 I am saying both are scoundrels but you don't like that either.

@St-Sinner, I am not arguing that Clinton is not a scoundrel. That should be clear from what I have stated and repeated here. I am saying that your using lies about Clinton to defend Trump is unacceptable bullshit. Take it elsewhere.

@mcgeo52 I am not defending Trump. In every post and every response I have made it clear that Trump is very bad but I have also asked what made a ridiculous presidency like his even possible? The answer is Hillary. You don't like that either?

@St-Sinner, I absolutely agree that HRC, DWS, and the DNC are major reasons that we have Trump in the White House.

@mcgeo52 Ok then!

Of course he did.
