I am about to do something really daring.
My ideal job has just come available, nearby to me so no travelling problems. Its like the universe almost dropped it into my lap and said " There you go, you've wanted this for ages". It's not a common job, and I lack a bit of training, but have already looked into doing this on my own time. Thing is, I probably stand a zero per cent chance of getting the post.
Should I just treat it as practice? Ask relevant questions ? Or should I really not be wasting their time, but wait another year until I am trained up?
Thoughts and input, please.
Go for it, and if you fail getting the job or at the job, it's one more for experience...
Go for it ...what do you have to lose? At the worst it will be practice for next time, at best you will be in the job you want.
In my experience, every time I thought I had a "zero per cent chance of getting" something, I got it! So, go for it.
thanks. My attitude at the moment is that I don't care, it would be just great to get to talk to people in the industry.
